The Foundation\u2019s residency programme is open to designers, artists, architects, curators, writers, and researchers in the humanities and social sciences whose work grapples with the major challenges of our era. Open to all nationalities and levels of experience, from the emerging to the established, the programme actively encourages interdisciplinary approaches.<\/p>\n

Accessible through a call for projects, the programme offers selected recipients comprehensive support, combining expertise, opportunities for exchange and professional networking, as well as financial assistance through residency fellowships. It is structured around three residency formats, designed to accommodate a wide range of creative practices and research projects. Residents also benefit from privileged access to the Foundation\u2019s production workshops, the Living Archive and its resources, as well as an immersion in the Charente region.<\/p>\n

Objectives: Through their respective disciplines, selected projects will contribute to a broader reflection on contemporary transformations. They will help foster the artistic and scientific vitality of the Charentes region and they may even establish bonds with other regions facing similar issues. As an indication, projects may engage with themes such as ecological and social transitions, developing the local and the global, the transformation of landscapes and environments, or interspecies relations, among others.<\/p>\n

Research and experimentation<\/strong><\/p>\n

6 – 8 weeks<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”883047″]This residency area concerns all projects in the conception, research, or prototyping phase<\/strong>. The Foundation\u2019s workshops, its Living Archive, and the local community all constitute valuable resources for nurturing, testing, and supporting these experimental processes. Projects are more likely to take root and grow when they involve the formation of close bonds with the surrounding local area.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”545822″]<\/p>\n

Production<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 – 6 weeks<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”202754″]This residency area allows residents to give shape to their ideas and produce new objects<\/strong>. It is for all creators who have a production method and goal requiring access to the Foundation\u2019s resources and to its ecosystem.<\/p>\n

For exhibition projects, it is also possible to apply for this area in collaboration with a partner institution. This transforms the residency into a form of \u201cproduction support<\/strong>\u201d. Writing and curatorship<\/strong><\/p>\n

2 – 4 weeks (during the summer)<\/p>\n

Please note that experimentation and production residencies may be conducted over two separate stays.

It will meet in September\u202f2026\u202f to <\/span>pre<\/span>select applicants on the<\/span> basis of their dossier before a<\/span>\u00a0final<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>de selection interview is conducted by the Director of the Foundation.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  3. The intention to develop a project in relation to a specific area <\/strong>or that facilitates a connection between areas experiencing a common problem<\/li>\n
  4. References on behalf of the applicant<\/strong> in the relevant fields of creation or research, and the capacity to engage in critical thinking<\/strong> within one\u2019s discipline and in relation to one\u2019s practice<\/li>\n
  5. Feasibility<\/strong>\u00a0in relation to the Foundation\u2019s resources, in consideration of the candidate(s)\u2019s technical competencies required to carry out the project successfully<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Transportation<\/strong>: coverage of one round-trip ticket between the resident\u2019s home and the Foundation\u00a0for each residency period, within the limit of two round trips within France (for a maximum of \u20ac500) or one round trip within Europe or internationally (for a maximum of \u20ac1,500<\/p>\n

    Residency fellowship<\/strong>
    \nA weekly stipend of 375\u20ac all atexts included, consisting of:
    \n– maintenance expenses: 175\u20ac per week per per\u00adson (25\u20ac per day)
    \n– work stipend : 200\u20ac per week of the project
    \nIn the case of “product<\/strong>ion support”<\/strong>, institutional\u00a0 partnerships, the partner insitution is responsible for the work stipend.<\/p>\n

    Production budget<\/strong>
    \nWithin the limit of 2500\u20ac, depending on the prject. The production budget covers all expenses for equipment, tools and skills not already present at the Foundation.<\/p>\n

    Communications<\/strong>
    \n– Access to the digital photo studio to document work in progress and the objects produced
