Glass Workshop for Bespoke Professional Commissions
The Fondation d’entreprise Martell’s glass workshop is available for professional commissions from artists, designers, creators, institutions and art galleries.
This space for experimentation and innovation gives access to the Foundation’s resources and to the expertise of its master glassmakers, Gaëtan Oheix and Valentin Rizzo, for the creation of bespoke works.
Previously accessible only through applications or production partnerships, the glass workshop is now available via a fee-based commissioning model.
The Foundation offers support at every stage of the project: from initial design and technical advice, through prototyping, to final production.
The glassmakers master a wide range of techniques: freehand glassblowing, mold-blown work, solid and blown glass, as well as complementary processes such as cold working, cutting and kiln formed glass (pâte de verre). This allows them to respond to varied artistic and technical requirements.
The workshop is open to artists, designers, architects and institutions who wish to explore the possibilities of glass, including those who do not specialize in this medium.

Lieu de vie
Les résidents ont accès à une maison meublée située à 10 minutes de la Fondation, pouvant accueillir 5 professionnels de manière simultanée, avec une option pour une famille. Ils disposent également d’une cuisine et d’espaces de vie communs, autour d’une cour-jardin intérieure.
Modalités & Admission
Le dossier de candidature doit être rédigé en français ou en anglais et doit comprendre les 6 composantes ci-dessous dans cet ordre, conditions de leur instruction par le jury :
- Un Curriculum Vitae (2 pages max.)
- Un dossier artistique ou portfolio présentant des réalisations passées du.de la candidat·e représentatives de la démarche ou du parcours artistique (les liens vers un site internet ou un portfolio en ligne sont acceptés)
- Une note d’intention présentant les motivations du·de la candidat·e, les orientations du projet, sa dimension innovante ou inédite, les médiums envisagés et leur adéquation avec le positionnement de la Fondation d’entreprise Martell (5 pages max.)
- Un état de l’art sur le projet quand il est axé sur la recherche
- Un dossier technique illustrant la faisabilité du projet, exposant les besoins techniques nécessaires pour la réalisation du projet (matériels, matériaux, locaux, prestations externes), son calendrier indicatif de réalisation ainsi qu’un budget prévisionnel de production chiffrant les besoins.
