Following an initial residency at Domaine de Boisbuchet in Lessac, followed by seven weeks of research at CIAP Vassivière, Iranian designer Arian Ghorbanian is completinghis residency at the Fondation d’entreprise Martell in Cognac, for the experimentation and production phase of Kairos, a project developed in partnership by the three partner institutions.

The project stems from a simple question : beyond clocks, calendars and our conventional ways of measuring time, how might we experience it differently ?

Kairos invites us to shift our perspective on time and to question the ways we inhabit, perceive and move through it. Drawing on the Fondation’s workshops and production facilities, Arian Ghorbanian will translate these temporalities into objects and experiential installations, inviting each of us to reconsider our habitual ways of perceiving and experiencing time.

Biography
Arian Ghorbanian – Designer

Arian Ghorbanian is an Iranian designer, who studied at the University of Tehran. His practice combines research, experimentation and object design, with a particular interest in the relationships between contemporary uses, perception, and natural heritage.

In 2025, he won the Silver Medal at the Iranian Industrial Design Olympiad, as well as two IDA awards in the Cultural Architecture and Furniture Design categories.
