The Fondation d’entreprise Martell welcomes designer Oriane Caroff for a residency focused on extending her research into the reuse of ceramic waste. After developing an initial range of lighting fixtures using materials recovered from construction companies, recycling centers, and waste facilities, the designer now aims to take her work to the next level: experimenting with processes that enable production on a larger scale.

During her residency, she will explore innovative techniquesto transform surplus orders—such as plates or ceramic tiles that cannot be sold—into unique and functional pieces. The goal is twofold: to repurpose significant quantities of waste and to design objects aligned with a circular economy approach, such as lighting fixtures, pendant lamps made from tableware elements, and even seating.
