Parcours de Sens

Manon Clouzeau

Manon Clouzeau spotlights, under the Pavilion, ceramic bowls accompanied by texts and photographs. Music (notably the hang drum) and tea tastings, as well as an invitation to try one’s hand at molding the material, amplify this experience through a weekend of activities.
Manon Clouzeau, a young ceramicist from Aubeterre-sur-Dronne in Charente, near Cognac, sensitively works this earthen material as well as that quotidian object: the bowl. She takes over the Pavilion, presenting Parcours de Sens, an ensemble of pieces of different dimensions and hues, which she pairs with photographs and texts to poetically express her approach to ceramics. Her bowls are exhibited on balanced wooden planks, adjacent to texts thats discuss her practice. The ceramicist offered visitors the chance to test her bowls with a tea tasting, to enjoy the touch of the material in its raw state, and to immerse themselves in her universe at large by listening to the hang drum.
