Élise Gay and Kevin Donnot are graphic designers, developers, educators, and co-founders of the Back Office journal. During their residency at the Martell Foundation, the duo is extending work initiated with the Agora 2023 grant: this transdisciplinary research project offers a critical and exploratory approach to image halftoning techniques, both historical and stemming from current research. Their production blends visual experimentation, computer engineering, media archaeology, and industrial techniques. The duo will present the results of their research, including printed experiments conducted in collaboration with Valadié PLV, a company based in Cognac.
