The Project

WIN

Ittah Yoda is a duo composed of Virgile Ittah and Kai Yoda. They joined the Foundation at the end of May to create Win, a series of blown glass pieces containing phytoplankton-infused liquid that will change color throughout the exhibition, shifting from green to pink as it matures Some of the sculptures in the Win series will include an olfactory artwork called “Lascaux”* that will be used as a diffuser in the exhibition space. This production will be part of their personal installation called Never the same Ocean. The artists advocate for the concept of a “symbiocene”, a post Anthropocene world governed by mutually beneficial, harmonious, and sustainable relationships between all beings, both living and digital.

This work will be presented as part of the Wild Diplomacy exhibition at CIAP Vassivière in June 2023.

For this project, Ittah Yoda has also recieved support from The Fondation des artistes.
*The olfactory artwork “Lascaux” was developed in collaboration with perfumer David Chieze for Mark Buxton studio & Luzi.
